Founded in 2023 as a Siva Samoa Academy, Fetu o Siva evolved in 2026 into a premier digital Polynesian dance center. We are dedicated to serving our diasporic communities by providing authentic cultural education, with a primary focus on the traditional dances of Samoa and Tonga.

We specialize in the foundational and ceremonial dances of Samoa and Tonga, specifically:

• Samoan Siva: The graceful, storytelling movements of Samoa.

• Siva Sasa: Energetic, rhythmic group dances performed to a drum beat.

• Siva Taualuga: The prestigious "grand finale" dance, often performed by the taupou or manaia.

• Tongan Tau‘olunga: The sophisticated and traditional solo dance of Tonga.

The academy is led by Faia‘oga Zion Fuimaono Malaki (known affectionately as Faia‘oga Fui). Zion founded the academy at age 16 after discovering a deep passion for Siva Samoa through his high school and church upbringing. With extensive experience teaching soloists and serving as the male instructor for the Waipahu High School Tasi Pasefika Polynesian Club, he brings both technical skill and cultural heart to the digital center.

Not at all! We welcome dancers of all levels. However, if you are new to Polynesian dance, we highly recommend our Optional One-on-One Sessions. While there is an additional cost, these personalized sessions ensure you master the technique and reach your full potential, giving you the confidence to perform your choreography with excellence.

The mission of Fetu o Siva Polynesian Dance Academy is to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of Polynesia by providing authentic, high-quality dance education and performance. Through discipline, artistry, and cultural integrity, we proudly showcase the traditions and stories of our people.
